Before Ebbets Field there was Washington Park
The Brooklyn Dodgers are renowned among MLB teams for having the greatest number of alternative names---Dem Bums, The Daffiness Boys, the Robins, the Flock, the Trolley Dodgers, The Brooklyn Bridegrooms, and the Superbas (after a popular vaudeville act), amongst others.
Newspaper accounts confusingly used all these names interchangeably with Dodgers. The team was known as the Dodgers and/or the Superbas in the late Nineteenth and early Twentieth centuries (until 1914). In the early years, the team was a pennant contender. By the end of the Superbas era, the Dodgers had fallen from grace with a thud.
This is a fitted replica of a mid-to-late Superbas-era "Home" cap; the "Away" cap reverses the colors, with the B in blue, the cap in white. Both are made by American Needle, and are top-quality pieces of headgear.
Take care with the sizing as these hats are fitted, not adjustable.
