Editorial Product Review:

Amazon.com Item Description:
Embrace a new way of thinking with this set of five eco-friendly reusable polyester shopping bags. These durable, lightweight, and waterproof designer bags display beautiful Japanese-inspired patterns and come rolled up in an easy tote. The snap-close storage tote is small enough to stash in a glove compartment or a medium to large handbag, so it's always handy. Whip out a new bag every time you need one, and forego those wasteful plastic and paper sacks. Every time you shop, you'll be cutting back on clutter, and doing so with eye-catching style.

From the Manufacturer:

Envirosax Kyra Sedgewick

Envirosax

Dubbed the best value reusable bag on the market by the Wall Street Journal, and seen carried by the likes of Cameron Diaz and Kyra Sedgwick, Envirosax have revolutionized shopping bags with the perfect combination of eco-friendliness, style, and practicality.

Envirosax, the original reusable designer shopping bags, are a funky and practical way to do your part to help the environment by reducing the ecological impact of single-use plastic bag waste whilst looking stylish at the same time.

A single Envirosax rolls up to be about the size of a piece of sushi and weighs only 1.4oz (about 40g). Singularly or in a pouch the bags are small enough and light enough to fit easily in your glove box, pocket or purse, so forgetting your green bags won’t be a problem anymore.

The graphic series bags roll out to be 19.5” by 16.5” (49.5cm by 41.9cm), and can safely hold about 44lbs (20kg) thanks to the strong polyester fabric and reinforced seams. The bags are waterproof, and the eco-friendly inks used on the bags (in a range of rich solid colors and attractive patterns) won’t run when the bag is washed.

Envirosax bags are a great alternative to accepting plastic grocery bags whenever you go to the shop. The less plastic bags you use, the less there are to be found in the stomachs of sea turtles, wrapped around the heads of seabirds, or clogging drains and causing flooding.

Did you know that due to the chemical nature of standard plastic grocery bags they never decompose? Did you also know that a single Envirosax bag can hold 2 of these grocery bags worth of goods, and so could save the environment from hundreds or even thousands of plastic bags every year.

Belinda and Mark David-Tooze, a couple committed to sustainable living and minimizing human environmental impacts, founded Envirosax in 2004. This commitment is evident in their own lifestyle, as well as their clever bag design. The David-Toozes live off the grid, using photovoltaic cells for their electricity needs, water collected from rain-tanks, and they grow their own organic fruit and vegetables on their rainforest property.

Proceeds from Envirosax are used to support conservation groups such as the Australian Marine Conservation Society, the Surfrider Foundation and the Royal Forest and Bird Protection Society of New Zealand.

Customer Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - The best bags ever!
These re-usable shopping bags are so great. I try to be very green... CF lightbulbs, turn off the water when I brush my teeth, recycle... but alas, the shopping bags always get left in the car, undiscovered until me and the 3 kids are already inside... and I'm not taking them all back out! These bags are so light and so compact I just always keep them in my purse, so no matter what errand I run, I always have my bags. And they are huge and hold a ton of stuff. And I get a lot of compliments on them! I highly recommend these bags!!!

Customer Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Truly Wonderful Bags!
I own both the Floral and Mikado designs, and absolutely love these bags! I leave one or two in my purse, they fold up so small! I would highly recommend them, I have had mine for about a year now and use them all the time with little wear and tear. Very sturdy and nicely constructed, I can't believe the stuff you can stuff into them! I also love that the straps are a little longer, so you can easily put them over your shoulder and get keys . . . your hands are free!

I love using these bags everywhere, from Home Depot to the mall to the grocery store to household items . . . files workout clothes, the list goes on! Again, I couldn't be happier and would highly recommend these! Great way to stifle the 1 million plus plastic bags that are used every day . . . I get comments on them all the time, and it's exciting to share them with friends! Everyone that sees them loves them!

Customer Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Beautiful!
These are great sturdy bags that roll up nice and small. They're also really lovely looking.

Customer Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Love the environment? Try Envirosax!
I recently bougt my set of Envirosax directly from their website and they are also sharing this type of sale! I use them when I go grocery shopping and even take them to work - thanks to a co-worker!
